I wish Ethiopia's tribal leaders would for once listen to our Creator that lies, misleading statements, deaths, warmongering, treasonous acts, atrocities and the like do not lead any society to a better future. Evil breeds evil. Hatred breeds more hatred. Ethnic conflict and war deepen societal conflict and poverty. These create a vicious cycle. There is no end in sight. This is where Ethiopia is.

Trust me. I am sick and tired of writing and speaking about the ills that afflict Ethiopia. But, the truth  must be told. This is because innocent civilians are dying each day. So are hundreds and hundreds of soldiers who are misled by their own military and government leaders.

I do hope and pray that US Special Envoy to the Horn, Mr. Hammer would have the courage and wisdom to push for the withdrawal of Abiy's military from the Amhara region; for the release of all political prisoners, for stoppage of killings and atrocities---conditions that may ultimately lead to durable peace in Ethiopia.
